The North Central WV Society for Human Resource Management local chapter is affiliated with the National Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). The chapter is composed of HR professionals from as far east as Preston County and as far south as Randolph County. Our purpose is to advance and serve the HR profession through regular professional development, networking, and volunteer opportunities. Our members are valuable resources not just for our employers, but for our community and one another.
In addition to providing a forum for the discussion of local HR issues, the chapter leadership functions as a liaison to the national organization and the WV State Council. As well, we have committee assignments to SHRM’s core leadership areas to coordinate projects and information about these disciplines. Through the State Council, we work on the annual conference that provides quality CEUs and opportunities to stay current with our continually evolving profession.
We are always eager to welcome new members and consider new ideas about how to best serve our profession and our mutual goals. We invite you to take the first step by participating in powerful monthly meetings and becoming an active member within the North Central Chapter of SHRM.
